GET TO KNOW: SARAH BLUE

This month's featured author is the lovely Sarah Blue. If you're on the lookout for sweet, cozy romance - particularly omegaverse! - make sure you check out her back catalog.
Let's get into the interview.
1. Tell us about yourself.
Hello, I'm Sarah Blue. I live in Maryland with my husband, our two kids, and our two cats. I'm actively attempting to add another cat to the mix, but I still have to break my husband down a little bit. I primarily write omegaverse and paranormal romance, but I do have one contemporary in the mix. I'm absolutely an omega by most standards. I love the comfort of my own house, expensive things, and I really wish I had my own nest.
2. How did you get into writing romance? Was it something you always wanted to do?
During the pandemic I was struggling, I had an extremely demanding job in the housing market, and my family and I were constantly in the house together, so reading became my escape. I always loved books, but I tended to not read because I would become so consumed with the stories and stay up all night (this still happens sometimes). I always thought that I wasn't technically good enough of a writer, or that I would be able to stick with it. But when I became fully immersed in the romance world I realized it was something that I could do, and I'm so glad I took that plunge.
I kept my day job and wrote as much as I could on my days off and during the night, thinking that it would just always be my side hustle. I think the release of Charming Your Dad was the moment I truly knew I could do this full time and I'm so happy I made that life change. I now write full time and I couldn't be happier. I never thought I would be one of those people who had a job that didn't feel like a job, but here I am. Looking back at how I was as a child, creating videos, and my love of playing Barbies, it totally makes sense. I'm so incredibly grateful I have the opportunity to do what I love.
3. Tell us about your latest release!
My latest release is Charming as Hell, which is the third installment of my Charming series. Charming Your Dad came out in October '22, and Charming the Devil was released in March '23. Each book features a different relationship, but the series has an overarching story. Charming as Hell features Mara, who is Lucifer's estranged daughter. She's now living in Hell instead of possessing people on Earth and she's having a bit of a hard time figuring out her place in Hell and who exactly she is.
This book is probably my most unhinged and darkest to date, but I had such a blast writing it. I like to call this series a dark romantic comedy, because while the content is dark there is still a lot of humor, and the relationships lean towards sweet. It's the perfect series to binge for Halloween, especially Charming Your Dad and Charming as Hell. They can be read as standalones, but I do recommend reading the books in order.
4. If you could live in one of your book worlds, which one would it be and why?
Man, this is tough. I think I would want to live in my Heat Haven universe though. I absolutely am an Omega who deserves to be adored and taken care of. The Heat Haven universe is comprised of four standalones and a holiday novella. They are sweet books, with doting love interests, and is basically a world that mirrors our own. If I had to swap places with any of my characters I would probably be Liv from Omega's Obsession.
I really wanted to say the Charming series, but I don't think I'm badass enough to make it in Hell or Hallowsdeep.
5. What are you reading right now?
One thing about me is Draco Malfoy is my comfort character. Nine times out of ten my answer to this question is going to be a fanfiction of some sort. I used to read around three hundred books a year, but since I've gone full-time with writing that has declined significantly.
My current fanfiction is A Year and A Day by AMLKoko - You can find this on AO3 aka Archive of Our Own. It's a marriage of convenience story where Narcissa basically pushes Draco and Hermione to get married so he can keep custody of his son, while Hermione is able to build the company of her dreams.
I love main male characters who are soft for their partner only and Draco Malfoy usually scratches that itch.
Charming as Hell: OUT NOW
Hell's never been hotter with the long-lost spawn of Satan firmly where she belongs. With a shiny new corporeal body and deep desperation for adventure, Mara is ready to paint the town red.
After nearly a decade of possessing humans to survive, Mara is looking for answers and she won’t stop until she has the full picture. Despite her paranoia, she manages the loyalty of three very attractive demons. Whether she’ll use this army for war or for her own personal pleasure is yet to be seen.
The one thing for certain is that there’s no stopping this formidable demon from getting what she wants, even if she doesn’t seem to know what her own end game is.
This is the third book in the Charming series. It’s recommended to read in release order, however, this can be read as a standalone.
